DESCRIPTION:The Winter Solstice Bonfire and lantern parade is upon us again.\nPlease join us around the bonfire for damper\, storytelling  and music and a lantern parade to the dam. \n\nBring a lantern or get in early and have the chance to make one out of recycled materials.\nBring water\, snacks and warm clothes and remember that your child is your focus.\n\nSafety Warning: This is a wild event where we blend fire (open flame of candles & bonfire\, water (Euroa Arboretum Dam) and being out at night in the dark so we need parents to be extra watchful of their children. \nPlease try and carpool as car  spaces are limited.

SUMMARY:Weaving Workshop with Cassie Leatham
DESCRIPTION:Event Sold Out but names will be placed on waiting list when booking.\nThe Euroa Arboretum welcomes Cassie Leatham\, Cassie is a master weaver with the Victorian Aboriginal Weaving Collective. She uses native grasses in her traditional coil weaving workshops where you will create a unique basket. She can also teach how to weave an armband with pandanas and flax leaves. \nAbout Cassie\nCassie Leatham is from the Taungurung / Wurundjeri people from the Kulin Nation. She is an Indigenous artist\, master weaver\, traditional dancer\, bushtukka woman and educator. \nShe is extremely passionate about teaching her skills to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students of all ages. Her aim is to give participants the opportunity to learn and understand Aboriginal culture and develop knowledge of both historical and contemporary Aboriginal history. Read more about Cassie on her Website. \nCassie’s Work\nCassie’s work has been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria\, Koorie Heritage Trust Collection\, Melbourne Magistrates Court of Victoria and is exhibited nationally and internationally.  Cassie has had numerous solo and collaborative exhibitions\, which has seen success overseas also. \nTicket Prices and Catering\nEuroa Arboretum Gardens for Wildlife Member $40\nGeneral Adult Tickets $50 \nTicket prices include 4hr workshop\, materials and lunch. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 18 participants.\nPlease note that we can include dietary requirements for Vegetarian and Gluten Free.
