DESCRIPTION:  \nCassie Leatham Workshop\nBUSH TUCKER – Learn the traditional uses of indigenous plants with Taungurung woman\, Cassie Leatham (featured on ABC’s Gardening Australia} as she showcases up to 85 native plants from her private collection \nWorkshop 1 – 10am-12pm\nWorkshop 2 –   l .30-3.30pm \n\nthe $20 ticket includes one workshop only\, lunch and any other sessions\n\nSessions\nCOOLAMON CUTTING – Taungurung man\, Shane Monk will demonstrate the ancient method of a coolamon cutting. \nSTONE TOOLS – Shane Monk will discuss the cultural and natural resouces of the Traditional Owners\, including stone tools and fish traps. \nWEAVING – From identifying plants\, harvesting materials\, and creating your first basket\, Aunty Lee and Tanya Moate will teach you the essentials of traditional weaving. \nBUSHLANDS ‘WALK AND TALK’ – Join Brad Letman (Taungurung man) and Cathy Olive (Euroa Arboretum) for a tour around the native bushlands and wetlands of the Arboretum. DESCRIPTION:As part of the ‘Gardens for Wildlife’ program at the Flour Mill in Euroa\, Louise Costa will talk about transforming her garden in Rushworth – how it started\, developed and what it is now. \nA landscape architect\, Lou turned what was previously a paddock of Cape Weed into a haven of indigenous plants. Lou has 16 hectares of regrowth forest and a small area the size of a suburban block for her garden. \n\n\n\nThe Euroa Arboretum will present plants that are suitable for gardens in our region. \nA two-course meal will be served between speaker presentations.
