    Hickory Wattle

    Description
    Dense shrub or small tree to 8m high.

    Foliage
    Densely foliaged shrub. Hairless angular branchlets and large sickle-shaped leaves.

    Flowers
    Cream to pale yellow, sweet scented, Sep-Feb. Profuse.

    Habitat
    Mostly in rocky habitats.

    Special Notes
    Isolated population in the Strathbogie Ranges. Rare in Victoria.

    Value to Wildlife
    Food plant for caterpillars of native butterflies and moths, which in turn attract insect – eating birds.
