Description
Rigid shrub, up to 1m high, with rigid stems and leaves.

Foliage
Grey bark and flattened or angled branchlets with sparse hairs.

Flowers
Early flowering – provides colour in winter.

Habitat
Woodland and dry forest, on poor gravelly and sandy soils.

Special Notes
Useful low-level cover in windbreaks.Tolerates short periods of wetness.

Value to Wildlife
Good habitat. Flowers are a pollen source for native moths, butterflies and other native insects.
