James has been in the conservation industry since 2015. Previously based around Melbourne, he has supervised bush crews and developed a love for grasslands and native peas in particular. After coordinating the protection of a significant roadside near his home town over email in covid, he dreamt of moving back to the area someday to contribute his restoration skills in person. Now back in Yorta Yorta Country, he enjoys advocating for native lawns, gardening, pottery, propagating, making music/sounds, building wobbly furniture, hoarding bikes, writing and trying to find the best underrated food in the region.
