Description
Tussock grass: up to 1m high.
Flowers
Feathery flowersand shiny, bronze seed heads with corkscrewtwists and long awns in early summer. (Awn -slender bristle- like appendage)
Habitat
Perennial. Prefers well drained infertile soils.
Special Notes
If in garden, may rejuvenate old tussocks by pruning severely and watering afterwards. Found with other grasses.
