Description
Evergreen tree 6-20m high.Cylindrical or slightly bulbous trunk and dense crown. Found scattered on the northern plains. Slow-growing until 3 years, after which tends to grow more rapidly. Very long lived.

Creamy-white and speckled with dark red, usually Oct-Jan.
Habitat
Well drained soil. Drought tolerant. Sensitive to frost when young. Tolerates alkaline soil and mild salinity.
Special Notes
Attractive shapely tree for gardens, parkes and streets. Forms larger crowns if pruned when young.

Nectar feeding birds and insects attracted to flowers.
