Creating a haven for wildlife and dealing with pest plants on your small farm

Creating a haven for wildlife and dealing with pest plants on your small farm

How do you balance encouraging native wildlife to your property, but not foxes or deer?  Fencing off your waterway from stock access and not having blackberry take over?  As a property owner these are very real issues.  Our best intentions to plant trees and shrubs to attract birds often wind up encouraging animals you would prefer to leave at your boundary fence.

If you are new to your property in the Murrindindi district, or just feeling like you need to re-assess and addresses these issues, we’d love to see you.  There will be practical methods to deal with pest plants and principals to encourage wildlife to your property and advice on how to restore your landscape.

We hope you’ll join us for our final session –pest plants and biodiversity on your property  from 9.30am – 1.30pm, Saturday 27th November, Taggerty Community Centre.  For further information please visit www.healthy hectares.org.au/events.
