Drawing on Nature this Sunday

Join us at the Euroa Arboretum for this Nature in Art workshop with Kate Jevney this Sunday, 28th October. This 5 hr workshop is for beginner to intermediate levels to draw Australian birds in pencil or colour pencil.

The day will begin with a discussion of anatomy, techniques of layering and blending pencil to achieve an exciting and realistic drawing Reference images and high-quality paper will be supplied, you will need to supply pencils.

Lunch and morning tea are provided.

A bit about Kate:

Kate is a professional artist working in the media of oil, graphite and coloured pencil with nature as her inspiration, mainly wildlife and horses. She is a signature member of Artists for Conservation and Society of Animal Artists, a member of AGRA, Australian Colour Pencil Society and Pencil Art Society. Kate was guest artist on the TV show ‘Colour in your Life’ and her work has been featured in ‘The Australian Horseman Magazine’. She exhibits her work nationally and internationally and has been part of some esteemed art shows including ‘Western Visions’ at the National Museum of Wildlife Art (USA) and ‘Arts for the Parks’, winning the Grand Teton Lodge Award. Kate participated in the Artist-in-Residence program with National Museum of Wildlife Art (USA). As part of her art and educational program, Kate manages her blog where tips and questions can be exchanged and you can see some work-in-progress and new art straight off the easel.
