Janet Hagen

Janet Hagen comes from an education background, teaching in small rural schools in NE Victoria.

In 1994 she started working as a Landcare Facilitator for Hughes Creek Catchment Collaborative and is still in that position after 29 years of service. Janet is a founding member of the Strathbogie Ranges Conservation Management Network and has managed biodiversity focused projects for them since 2010.

Janet and her husband Justus are direct seeding contractors for GBCMA and keen seed collectors for Goulburn Broken Indigenous Seed Bank. They own a sheep and cattle farm in Ruffy where they put into practice the landscape restoration skills they have acquired, 30% of their property is protected native vegetation and they have covenants with Trust for Nature covering 60ha.

Janet has been involved in activities at the Euroa Arboretum since it started.
