Description
Tree to 35m high with rough, thiick black bark over whole trunk and branches.
Foliage
Open canopy with grey-green foliage.
Flowers
Cream flowers, rarely pink, Long flowering period.
Habitat
In drier open forests on well-drained skeletal soils of low ridges and adjacent flat country in undulating areas. Found locally on skeletal soils of Box Ironbark Forests west of Benalla.
Special Notes
Useful in wind breaks. Tolerates frost and extended dry periods.
Value to Wildlife
Flowers are rich in nectar. Bee and bird attracting.
