Description
Compact shrub or small tree to 12m high.
Flowers
Pale yellow, mainly Feb-July. Profuse and honey-scented.
Habitat
Wide range of habitats, including dry forest.
Variety of soils including sandy loams, clay loams, shales, peaty loams and rocky soils. Full sun or partial shade.
Special Notes
Highly sensitive to elevated phosphorus levels in the soil. Excess phosphorus damages or kills plants. Iron deficiency is common and shows as yellow leaves with green veins. Feed with iron chelate to rectify. Resents pruning.
Value to Wildlife
Good nectar producer. Seeds eaten by cockatoos.
